A little piece of me…..

Hi everyone and thanks so much for stopping by.  I can't tell you how much I love my job.  Capturing specialmoments in people's lives is truly a blessing, whether it be a wedding, a new baby, a growing family or just because.  I never grew up wanting to be a photographer.  In fact I went to University for biology and then got my degree in veterinary technology.  I then proceeded to work in a practise for the next ten years.  I have alwasy been a creative person, being a musician for almost 25 years now.  I started to have an interest in photography when my husband bought me my first dSLR camera.  I took a thousand gazillion pictures of my pets and then I found myself taking photos of families and kids and before I knew it I had a full time business.  I was still working at the clinic and then one day we had a very near tragedy.  I recieved a phone call at work that my husband had been in a car accident.  A 50,000 lb steel coil fell off a semi truck onto his car.  Through only the grace of something divine, he escaped with little injury.  Anyone else in the car would have died that day.  So you are probably thinking what the heck does this have to do with photography.  Well it has everything to do with realized that life is short and can change in a moment, so the key to a happy life , is to do what you love everyday.  For me that is photography and I left my job, opened my studio full time and have never looked back.

Photography takes an instant out of time, altering life by holding it still

I am very proud of our studio.  I am very proud and lucky to be able to photograph all aspects of life from weddings, maternity and newborns, children's milestone and families as they grow.  I treasure my clients that come to me year after year and watching how they change and grow.  I feel blessed to glimpse into other people's lives.  People often ask me what is my favourite thing to photograph and the answer is quite simple.  Life, I love to photograph life.

We are a full time studio and members of The Professional Wedding Photographers of Canada and The National Association of Professional Chidlren's Photogaphers.  We have been published in  major publication such as The Knot, Wedding Wire and The Wedding Connection.
